The third annual Pattaya St. Patrick’s Day Parade 2013 will take place on Sunday, March 17, travelling from Alcazar Theatre along Beach Road and finishing at School No. 8 on South Pattaya Road. From 2 p.m. there will be traditional Irish music performances, a beer competition and the opening ceremony held in the car park of Alcazar Theatre. The parade itself gets underway at 3 p.m. A week earlier, on Sunday, March 10, teams are needed to compete in an afternoon of Irish sport (Tug-of-War and Gaelic Football) at Arunotai School in central Pattaya. Registration for players takes place on the day at the school sports field at 12 noon.
The 2013 Pattaya International Music Festival will take place along Beach Road and at Bali Hai Pier from March 22-24. Regarded as one of the biggest international beach music festivals in Asia, the event will bring together a number of famous Asian and Thai artists and over 400,000 music fans are expected to attend over the three days.
