The next meeting of the Pattaya City Expats Club (PCEC) will be held on Sunday, February 7. Everyone is warmly welcome. Peter Jacobs and Francisco (Xisco) McGrath will speak about a program for “Disabled Sailing” in Thailand. The Club meets every Sunday morning at the Tavern by the Sea Restaurant located on the north end of Beach Road (part of the Amari Orchid Resort). The program starts at 10:30 a.m. with a buffet breakfast available from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.

Pattaya City’s Chinese New Year celebrations will include a procession of the God of Good Luck, lion and dragon dances and EngKo fighters at the Naklua Market on Monday, February 8. There will also be a ceremony to give Buddhist offerings and pay respects to Heaven and the Earth, a Pattaya Chinese beauty contest and performances by famous artists. An expected 50,000 motorcycle enthusiasts will attend the annual Burapha Bike Week which is taking place in Pattaya from Feb 12-13. Bike clubs from around world will participate in the annual festival at the Eastern National Indoor Sports Stadium on Soi Chaiyapruek 2. Some big-name rock acts are also expected to appear both days.

A Joint Chambers Eastern Seaboard Networking Evening will be held at the Holiday Inn Pattaya on Friday, February 26 from 6.30 p.m. – 9 p.m. (last drinks served at 8.30 p.m.).
