The Hilton Pattaya Hotel helped polish the skills of its coffee makers and bartenders with its second-annual Bar & Barista Cup.

The Sept. 22 contest, part of the hotel’s “Food & Beverage Masters” program, saw The Edge Restaurant’s Peerasak Ruangthatree win first place with a concoction called “Finale”. Arayaporn Saimek, from the Horizon bar, took second for her ‘Sundowner Coffee’ and Rattanasin Wongsila from the Shore Bar won third for a strawberry coffee.

General Manager Rudolf Troestler said the event was held to encourage young bartenders to show their talents and creativity with coffee and cocktails.

The event was held on the 17th floor of Hilton Pattaya, with 6 judges, including Tony Malhotra, general manager of the ‘Scandinavian Village’ in Bangsaen.
