The Thai Chamber of Commerce (TCC) will help the government push forward economic growth in 2016 by at least four percent.

TCC chairman Issara Vongkusolkit has revealed the organization’s role in supporting the government’s plan to accelerate economic growth, starting in January 2016, by urging the chairs and secretaries of provincial chambers of commerce nationwide to act in line with the government policy.

For instance, they may conduct field observations or academic research and apply innovations to help boost the Thai economy.

He said joint field observations by both the government and private sector will provide insights into specific, locally-based issues which will facilitate operations and yield concrete outcomes.

The TCC chairman added that the Thai business sector is willing to provide the government with assistance to push forward the national economy, which has been expected to rise by no less than four percent in 2016.

The TCC will propose the conclusions of a recent provincial chambers of commerce seminar to Deputy Prime Minister Somkid Jatusripitak November 29.
