Mr. Suraphon Svetasreni, the TAT governor, revealed that the event has resulted from cooperation among the TAT, Visa, and over 15,000 members of the tourism industry, including department stores, shops, duty-free shops, travel agencies, hotels, golf courses, and spas.
All of these industry members are jointly reducing their prices for products and services. Reductions may go up to as high as 80%.
These price slashes are to encourage both Thai and foreign tourists to travel and make purchases during the Green Season.
Amazing Thailand Grand Sale 2012 will be held at 7 locations, in Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket, Pattaya, Hat Yai, Hua Hin, and Samui Island. The event will run from June 15 to August 15.
