BANGKOK, 22 July 2012 – During the official trip to Thailand, the President of Myanmar is set to pay a visit to the country’s key investment and industrial hub in the eastern seaboard.
The Regional Investment and Economic Center 4 Director, Mr. Suwit Chuawichian, said that President Thein Sein of Myanmar will visit the Center and Laem Chabang Port in Chonburi Province on Sunday.
Mr. Suwit stated that all preparations have been completed to welcome the Myanmar leader.
He added that a special briefing by the National Economic and Social Development Board, the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand and the Board of Investment of Thailand has been scheduled during Mr. Thein Sein’s visit.
The issues included in the briefing are the overall economic and industrial development of Thailand, Thailand’s linkage with the Dawei deep sea port, the management of the country’s eastern economic area and Thailand’s investment promotion.
Mr. Suwit said that the Myanmar President will return to Bangkok after the visit.
