BANGKOK, 26 August 2013 The Kasikorn Research Center (KResearch) has reported that the Thai export growth this year might reach close to the center’s forecast if the Chinese economy keeps on recovering.

KResearch predicted that Thai exports for the whole year of 2013 might be able to grow by 4% as projected earlier, thanks to China’s announcement to maintain its economic growth target. However, the center pointed out that there might still be a challenge in the rest of the year as the Chinese economic recovery was expected to be slow, causing both direct and indirect impacts on Thai exports.

According to the center, China’s higher stability in some economic activities in July as well as the recovering U.S., Japanese and EU economies are the main factors which could contribute to a better export situation in Thailand.
