BANGKOK, 21 May 2015, Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) President Kesara Manchusri has said foreign investors are interested in the Thai government’s infrastructure projects.

According to her, both foreign and local investors have been following these projects closely, as 29 percent of registered companies in the SET would benefit from them. Most of the firms are those in the construction, information & communication, energy, public utility, transportation and logistics industries.

She also said the survey of registered companies’ chief executive officers, conducted by the SET last month, indicated that government policies and projects would play a crucial role in spurring the growth of the local economy and the industrial sector in the latter half of this year. The CEOs also viewed that solid transportation infrastructure linking Thailand to its neighboring countries would in the long run make Thailand an investment hub in the region.
