BANGKOK, 6 June 2014 – Airports of Thailand or AOT has revealed the number of passengers at Suvarnabhumi Airport has decreased while it’s increased at Don Muang and various provincial airports.

AOT Director Mekin Petplai has referred to the second phase of Suvarnabhumi Airport development, where everything is on schedule, as is a proposed overview by the National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) and other related agencies.

The number of tourists has decreased this year due to many factors; political issues, earthquakes, and unrest and crime in the Southern part of Thailand. Meantime the number of passengers at Suvarnabhumi Airport has declined 10% while at Don Muang airport and other airports there’s been an increase of 17-18% and 6-7% respectively.
