Belgian Crown Prince: Belgian investors eyeing on high-speed train projects

BANGKOK, 19 March 2013 Belgium's Crown Prince has said that Belgian investors are interested in investing in Thailand's high-speed train projects. 

In a discussion with the Thai transport minister on Tuesday, Crown Prince Philippe of Belgium, who was leading a economic mission in Thailand, stated that Belgian investors were interested in investing in Thailand's infrastructure projects, particularly the planned construction of high-speed train routes.

Thailand's Transport Minister Chadchart Sittipunt, meanwhile, said that Thailand would use Belgium's electric train system as a model for the development of the Thai one.

A presentation was made for Belgian investors and businessmen regarding Thailand infrastructure projects. Both the crown prince and the transport minister attended the event.
