20,000 visitors attended Nakhon Si Thammarat infrastructures roadshow so far

NAKHON SI THAMMARAT, 23 November 2013 Residents of the 8 Upper Southern Provinces have shown great interest in the “Thailand’s Future 2020” roadshow on the planned mega infrastructure projects. 

Finance Minister Kittirat Na Ranong and Transport Minister Chatchart Sitthiphan launched the opening of the exposition in Nakhon Si Thammarat on Saturday. Around 20,000 visitors, many of whom had traveled from nearby provinces, attended the exhibition on Saturday.

The event, held in Walailak University’s gymnasium, showcased previous crowd favorites including multimedia presentations of transportation projects such as the high-speed train, the dual-track rail, the network of main roads across the region, sea ports and border trade projects. The exhibits also gave explanations on the necessity of the mega investments and the objectives of the projects.

The roadshow will be hosted in Nakhon Si Thammarat until Sunday.
