French Film Night at Mercure Hotel

The Mercure Hotel in Pattaya’s French classic film season continues on Wednesday, November 28 with a showing of the 2004 comedy “Les Sœurs fâchées” from director Alexandra Leclère.

A brief synopsis of the movie can be found below.  Admission is free of charge, open to all, and all the movies shown carry English subtitles.  Subsequent screenings will be shown at 2 weekly intervals with details of each movie previewed here in the Pattaya Mail.

“Les Sœurs fâchées” (Me and My Sister) - Wednesday, Nov. 28 at 6.30 p.m.

Comedy directed by Alexandra Leclère (2004) - English Subtitles – 1hr 33mins.

Synopsis:  Louise is a natural and straightforward girl from the provinces.  Her older sister Martine lives in Paris; is beautiful, aloof and circulates in the Parisian upper middle classes.  Louise has written a novel and comes to stay with her sister for three days while she seeks an appointment with a publisher.  During the three days, Louise and her happy go lucky, simpler attitude comes to exasperate Martine and the two sisters come increasingly to blows.
