Bikes at BIMS
The Bangkok International Motor Show (BIMS) in March-April this year is a showcase for motorcycles as well as cars, and I was fortunate again that accredited motorcycle journalist Alan Coates was in Bangkok and sent in the following report.

Visitors to Sriracha’s Khao Kheow Open Zoo had a chance to pay homage to Lord Buddha’s relics on the occasion of the traditional Songkran celebrations to welcome the Thai new year.

Regent’s Community Treasure Hunt ‘Gives Naturally’
On Sunday 14th March the first ever community treasure hunt car rally took place and was a big success. It started at the Regent’s School and finished at the new 5 star Centara Grand Mirage Beach Resort Pattaya, (one of our sponsors). This event was organized by the student’s parents (Mr. Wilcox and Mr. Proctor) and Mr. Crouch.

Pattaya Chris Kays Memorial Rugby Festival next weekend
The Pattaya 10’s Rugby Tournament is now 10 years old! The tenth anniversary of the tournament, which is now known as the Chris Kays Memorial Tournament will take place over the weekend of 1st and 2nd May 2010. The tournament was renamed to perpetuate the memory of the former Pattaya Panthers captain, who was tragically killed in the Bali bombing in October 2002.

Dining out in the evening tends to be either a ‘grand affair’ in an up-market restaurant, languishing with post dinner drinks and ‘changing the world’ discussions, or a hurried repast whilst on the way to some function.

A reception was held at the Central Center Pattaya recently to welcome the ‘Lady in Love Fashion Runway’ where they presented their newest summer collections. The party was attended by (from 2nd left) Nitti Kongkrut, Director TAT Pattaya, Mayor Itthiphol Khunplome, Theeraporn Chitnava, GM of Central Center Pattaya and Sarun Tuntijumnun GM of Central Festival Pattaya.
