Pattaya to get more broadband internet

True Corporation has launched its newest hi-speed internet service in Pattaya to attract more customers.
Managing Director Vichao Pongrakpairot, Wireline Broadband Services General Manager Nont Ingkhuthanont and Mayor Itthipol Khunplome hosted a product launch event late last month.
Vichao said after launching the hi-speed internet 8 Mbps ADSL2+ in Bangkok and metropolitan areas, its users increased by 10,000, and business is steadily growing.
True Corp board decided to expand the service to other provinces and chose Pattaya as the first city for the expansion.
Vichao added that the service will cater for this growing city with over 400 Wi-Fi hotspots, a wireless internet system to join other 16,000 hotspots throughout the kingdom.
Packages on offer include hi-speed internet 3Mbps, local/256Kbps, 4-in-1 Wi-Fi/EDGE/GPRS plus mobile phone service at 579 baht a month, or internet through mobile service at 129 baht a month, or internet plus oversea calls at 49 baht a month.

Currently Wi-Fi by TrueMove service is available on Beach Road, Pattaya 2nd Road, and mega malls such as Big C, Central Festivals and Royal Garden Pattaya.
