25 yellow taxis added to city transport fleet
Pattaya’s transportation cooperative has added 25 new taxis to the city’s fleet
to ensure there is enough transport available for tourists during the high
season.
Head of the transportation cooperative Chamlong Sukprom said that currently
there are more than 700 baht buses operating within the city, but that the
committee members decided a further 25 taxis should be added, starting from the
beginning of November.
The new vehicles are yellow 1.6J Toyota Altises with NGV installation, which
will help the operators avoid the escalating costs of fuel. The vehicles are
being registered with the Land Transportation Department, a requirement for all
public transport vehicles in Pattaya.

Festival a magic way of raising
funds for Father Ray Foundation

Ten greatly respected magicians from around the world gathered for
the 1st Pattaya International Magic Festival, the funds raised by the event
going to the Father Ray Foundation.Organized by the Tourism Authority of
Thailand in association with Pattaya City, the Pattaya Magicians’ Club and
the Alangkarn Theater, the festival was divided into two parts.

Rotary continues to bring clean water and sanitation to those in need

October 13, 2007, was a joyous occasion when the Rotary Club of
Jomtien-Pattaya completed their clean water project for the Baan Nork School
in Huay Yai (approximately 45 minutes from Pattaya).

Pettersen sinks ‘eagle’ to win last-hole thriller

Siam Country Club, Pattaya - An eagle on the last hole gave Norway’s
Suzann Pettersen a thrilling one-stroke victory over Laura Davies at the
US$1.3 Million Honda LPGA Thailand trophy at Siam Country Club last Sunday
and also gave her back-to-back tour victories.
