the decisive triumph of good over evil
Joe Louis Puppets delight audiences in Red Cross Fundraiser
This is a very special year for
the people of Thailand as we celebrate the 60th anniversary of His Majesty the
King’s accession to the throne. Last Sunday the Thai Red Cross Society,
Banglamung Chapter organized a fund raising event at the Alcazar cabaret where
the Joe Louis Puppet Theatre staged a sensational enactment of the ‘Ramakien’.

Flotilla of 200 fishing boats moor off Sattahip in protest of rising fuel costs
Over two hundred fishing vessels complete with crew anchored off Samaesarn Beach
in Sattahip on July 1 to protest against rising fuel costs and to call upon the
government for a fuel subsidy.
Many boat owners are facing financial ruin because of the rising costs and this,
coupled with low market prices and dwindling numbers of fish in the Gulf of
Thailand, is taking its toll on the local fishing industry.

Standing room only at the PSC Summer Party
Pattaya Sports Club held its annual Summer Party at the Town in Town
hotel on Wednesday 5th July, ten days after the PSC Annual General
Meeting held at the same venue. It was a full house with 450 members and
guests in attendance. This is the annual party that is free to members.
