Thunder in the skies during Cobra Gold 2006

U.S. Marine Corps CH-53 Super Stallion helicopters, carrying U.S. Marines from 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, prepare to land on a beach in Hat Yao (just south of Pattaya) on May 15 while participating in Cobra Gold 2006, a combined annual joint training exercise between the United States, Thailand, Japan, Singapore, and Indonesia. Aside from the “thunder in the skies” coming from the powerful helicopters and jets in the air, and the military training exercises on the ground, participants are also helping the communities they visit. Rotary International President makes historic visit to Pattaya
