Jomtien Palm Beach Hotel & Resort was the venue for awards presentations by Somchai Pinyopornpanit M.D, (centre) Deputy Director-General of Department of Communicable Disease Control, Ministry of Public Health to the Surveillance and Rapid Response Team (SRRT) for cholera and bird-flu investigation, warning the public and controlling the spread of the diseases.


Sophin Theppajug, (4th right) MD of the Diana Group welcomed Mrs. Munni Saha, (4th left) special correspondent of the ATN Bangla TV Channel, from Bangladesh. Mrs. Munni and her team stayed at the Diana Garden Resort, where they interviewed Khun Sophin about the benefits of the long stay projects at all her properties.


Pattaya Marriott Resort & Spa welcomed 40 students from Kasetsart University in Sriracha on a tour of the hotel’s facilities recently.


Stuart Saunders, (2nd right) managing director of Flossfirst, donates two cases of dental floss to President Judy Hoppe, of the Rotary Club of Jomtien-Pattaya. This consignment will be sent down to the tsunami-ravaged south for distribution. Stuart stresses that healthy teeth and gums can prolong lives for many more years. Ketkaew and Sharni Sutton were married on Valentines Day and celebrated their wedding at The Captain’s Corner. Kannikar Ottesen, (the wedding planner) made sure everything went smoothly. The newly wedded couple, their many friends and relatives partied well into the wee hours of the morning.
