Webmistress Parisa Santithi shows the visiting students the tasks involved of updating a website.

In the morning, accompanied by Pattaya Mail’s graphics personnel, the students went to see the print shop where the Pattaya Mail, Pattaya Blatt, and Chiangmai Mail newspapers are produced, and got a chance to see the printing procedure and hold a question and answer session.

Later students were guided through each department of the Pattaya Mail offices on Pattaya Second Road. The visitors went through all the departments including reception, delivery, the pressroom, translation section, accounting and graphics design.

Afterwards the students toured the Pattaya Mail Television or PMTV department, recording room and had the opportunity to see the taping process.

The group was then taken to Alibaba Indian Restaurant to have lunch with Pattaya Mail staff.

Professor Prasit said it was good that the students were given the opportunity to see and feel the hands-on process of newspaper publishing. He added that the knowledge gained during the visit would help them to understand a real working atmosphere and broaden their scope in the Commercial and Industrial sectors.
