World Scouting - more than just a merit badge
During a private visit to the site of the World Scout
Jamboree, HM King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden made an extraordinary trip to
the Royal Thai Navy Golf Course in Sattahip. The event was Thailand’s
first Scout Foundation Royal Golf Tournament to raise funds for the
development of scouting around the world.

Thousands flock to Pattaya to ring in the New Year in what has been hailed as one of the biggest parties ever!
Internationally famous “party-town” Pattaya
celebrated the New Year festival in style. Nearly 10,000 people flooded into
South Pattaya’s Walking Street to ring in the New Year as the city hosted
the ‘Pattaya New Year Countdown 2003’.

Windsurfers turned into treasure hunters during the Dongtan Windsurfing Marathon 2002
Left in the lurch by the god of wind, the schedule had to
be slightly changed and at 2 p.m., the Dongtan Windsurfing Marathon 2002
took off with a slalom instead of the marathon.
