The contractors met at Pattaya City hall to report on the progress of the construction, but the results of the meeting were inconclusive. Fears were realized when they asked for an extension to their contract to finish the project within another 399 days.

On the 23rd of March Khun Panga Wathanakul called a meeting of the contractors so that they could give a report on the progress of the project. As Chairperson of the Committee for Marketing and Public Relations for Pattaya City, she stressed that she needs to know the schedule of construction so that she and the committee would be able to plan marketing strategies for both the domestic and foreign tourist market.

Representatives of the department for the control of pollution from the Science, Technology and Environment Ministry and other interested groups were also present.
