You can still try out your skills in mini golf at the First Charity Mini-Golf Challenge at Fairplay Mini-Golf on Thappaya Road. The event is organized by the Rotary Club of Jomtien Pattaya in cooperation with Pattaya Mail, "Echo du Siam", "Der Farang", "Ferien Magazin", "Jester’s MC" and "Pattaya Sports Club". Just show up and buy 4 rounds for 500 Baht until November 8th. Fantastic prizes to be won! The categories are for ladies, gentleman and children. The event will raise funds for the Luis Fassbind Foundation, Pattaya Orphanage and various local charities.

Coming up on November 14th: A Charity Jazz Concert, featuring the famous and internationally renowned Tin Roof Jazz Band from Denmark, will be held at the Royal Garden Resort in association with Pattaya Mail and PILC. A ticket for that event, including a welcome reception, an international buffet, the "Happy Jazz" music entertainment, and a lot of dancing, will only cost Baht 250 per person. 100 baht of every ticket sale will be donated to the Banglamung Home for the Aged. Announcing the upcoming Garage Sale for charity! A rummage sale will be held at Phu Luang on November 28th and 29th as part of the annual "Fun Fair". The proceeds from the sale will be used to send orphaned and under-privileged children to trade school. Club News
The Pattaya Professional Women’s Forum meets on Tuesday, November 10th at 19:30 at Fairplay Mini-Golf, Thappaya Road, for a round or two of mini golf, delicious food and to watch a tape of Yes! Boutique’s latest fashion show! And... Colin, the owner of the place, promised to introduce the girls to some secrets of his fine cuisine. The Seaboard Sound is going stronger and stronger! Still, they need some help. Everybody who is interested in singing and helping to work on this year’s Christmas program is welcome to join the singing rehearsals of this fine choir. On Saturday, November 7th, Delaney’s Irish Pub in Pattaya welcomes the triumphant return of the "No Fixed Abode" Irish band, travelling all the way from Bangkok for the return leg of their Round the World Tour. Having found nowhere else to play they have returned to Delaney’s. Starting off at 8:00 p.m. with a session of Irish folk songs and then turning their attention to the more serious business of Jigs and Reels. No Fixed Abode as usual will be led by Paul in a variety of amusing hats, whilst Ollie will play every instrument from the accordion to the one hundred spoons, backed by a multitude of wannabe Irish musicians. This will be followed quite naturally by a bunch of crazed Russians, playing American & British Rock ‘n’ Roll, Tony & Trek, Pattaya’s only real pop stars who have now got their own T-shirts in many amazing colours on sale at Delaney’s.

The Captain’s Corner Steak House has introduced "Mexican Chicken Fajitas" (Baht 230 net) and Prime T-bone Steak (Baht 330 net) to their extensive menu at their candlelight-dining restaurant. Decorated in maritime antiques and Burmese teak, this restaurant, located on Thappaya Road (the one to Jomtien Beach), offers a truly elegant atmosphere. Befitting the delicious food there, Captain’s Corner has just bought a huge quantity of Chianti Classico 1994 Red Wine from a closed down supplier. The Green Bottle on 2nd Road now has a wide selection of international dishes on the menu. For example: "Cordon Rouge", a fillet steak, stuffed with goose liver pate and wrapped in bacon. Mmmh! Besides all the "new" dishes, Thai specialties at their best are also available. The nightly entertainment at the pub includes a very talented vocalist. Other events
Mermaid’s Dive Center annual Treasure Hunt will be held on November 14th and 15th at "Treasure Island" located somewhere South of Pattaya. Close to 50 prizes, including the usual Gourmet meals, free nights at 1st class hotels, dive equipment, dive trips, men’s and women’s clothing and more..., but only if you find some of the 50 numbered ancient Chines vases at 2 sites off the Island. Saturday morning the 14th you’ll dive site A and in the afternoon site B. Prize drawing will be on Saturday night at Captain’s Corner Restaurant. The Milford Hotel in Ban Chang has something very special to offer: a squid catching night. Every Saturday night they take a fishing trip from 19:00 to 23:00 hours. Snacks and refreshments are available on board. This local experience will cost Baht 495 per person. If you are more into a boat trip during the daytime, you can join them every Saturday or Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. for a ‘normal’ fishing trip.
