Ms. Rabieb Sawatkij, the caretaker of a house, called the Pattaya Police, but no one came. She then called the Sawang Boriboon foundation.
On August 10th a volunteer of the Sawang Boriboon foundation took the grenade out of the sea and put it on a wall in front of the house. This made the bomb the responsibility of the Banglamung Police Station.

An expert was called in to disarm the grenade, but the expert, a police Sergeant, could not do this as the pin had already been pulled.
Officers surrounded the bomb with a rubber tire and set it on fire. After about 10 minutes the grenade exploded.
