Thousands line local roads for Buddhist relics parade

Over a hundred monks prepare to lead a parade throughout the greater Naklua, Pattaya and Jomtien areas so that people could sprinkle holy water on Buddhist relics from the Sanctuary of Truth. The relics were put on a special float (back, left) to give residents and tourists an opportunity to pour holy water on the relics on Songkran Day.

Public Health Department reports no dengue cases for 2 weeks

Buoyed by hospitals reporting no dengue fever cases for two weeks, the Pattaya Public Health Department stepped up efforts to make the city a “dengue-free zone” by educating more residents on how to eradicate disease-carrying mosquitoes.
